The tell-it-like-it-is Real Estate Guide from a top Engel and Völkers Advisor

Martha exemplifies what makes the role of the real estate agent a job that commands respect and honor. It’s simple really. She does the job for the right reasons and with out the BS. She is a tell-it-like-it is kinda person. So as you may imagine, this far from your typical Real Estate Guide.

Her new book, (available on Amazon) is part real estate guide and part engaging story. Martha describes the setbacks she endured and the lessons she learned. And not just lessons on CRM’s – but real life examples of how she dealt with Fair Housing issues. She also reveals how she became a top producing Advisor at Engel & Völkers in Melbourne, Florida. She’s so respected, and such an enthusiastic story teller. Recently she was asked to take the stage next week at EVX, the Engel and Völkers conference in Las Vegas. And thats not unusual. She is a respected speaker, who spends a considerable amount of time on stage.

I’m fortunate enough to call Martha a friend. I met her several years ago by chance, while at another conference across town. Actually, she showed up at (crashed?!?) our LRE Revaluate Pool Party. I was addicted to her personality immediately.
Oh, and a disclaimer: we also repair data for Martha’s team as she’s also a Revaluate client. Revaluate integrates directly into her CRM, Lofty.

The Real Estate Guide

From the book: “To obtain your real estate license, you have to study a ten million-page  textbook and take a really difficult exam, but that material isn’t too  concerned with whether or not you know how to do the job. It forces  you to learn some important, foundational information about the laws  of real estate, the structure of real estate’s governing bodies within your  state, and how to stay out of prison.
That’s great! Definitely stay out  of prison as much as possible. It would be even better, though, if you  could help some customers and make some money along the way.  Unfortunately, pre-licensing doesn’t teach you the first thing about  how to get anyone to hire you to buy or sell real estate. That just isn’t  going to work, people.” (emphasis added)

I was stoked when she agreed to sit down with me, and talk about her new book “The Aspiring Agent”. Grab a beverage and enjoy this goofy and inspiring interview / conversation with one of Real Estates best people.
