Mike DelPrete Plugs Lead Scoring at ICLV

Mike DelPrete lives up the road from me in Boulder Co. so we’ve had coffee a few times, but he’s turned into a must see speaker at industry events. He’s also is a professor at the University of Colorado and has a keen eye for what’s important to the real estate industry.

At Inman, Mike gave a Keynote presentation where he discussed the problems associated lead gen and getting agents to convert deals.
He said that just like fedex and UPS – it’s the last mile that is difficult. In real estate, he said, it’s the same thing. Im paraphrasing, but he said: Lead gen with portals works well. Integrated CRM’s work well. Lead scoring and ranking prospects with AI (as he showed Revaluate on screen) works well. The last mile problem, is getting agents to do the work. You cant automate it. You need to have them pick up the phone, to follow up on leads and to get the listings.

Mike’s formula for success: Buy leads, plug them into your CRM, Score them with Revaluate then get high quality agents to establish relationships with the prospects. The last mile is the hardest part: establishing relationships with prospects – Thats why so many large companies are working to help in that area. However, it still requires human touch to do so. This part can not be automated. Thats Why EXP is a recruiting machine – they know they need humans to do the last mile work.

“It’s a ying and yang, these companies and agents working together.” “This is a system that actually works”.

While Mike stopped short of saying “Go buy Revaluate” – we do appreciate being included in his presentation.
