Less is More, More or Less.

“Less is More” when it comes to your Real Estate Lead gen Database

It’s not uncommon to hear top performing teams and agents talk about their database and refer to it in a more is better mindset.

I recently saw a post in the FUB FB user group Follow up Boss Success Community one of our Integration partner communities that specifically focused on the more is better approach. Is this your mindset?  I believe very strongly the opposite. However, if this is your mindset I’m going to try and convince you of a different approach and a new system.  I believe (very strongly) that Quality wins vs Quantity – especially for your Real Estate Lead gen Database.

Contact Cartoon Conundrum

Cartoons: Bart Simpson is not a lead with a listing.  Nor is $#!*@aol.com.  Revaluate removes these “cartoon contacts” and emails with profanity from your database in our Detox process. More cartoon contact emails leads to less listings.

Fewer Bounce Emails

Email campaigns, lists and servers can be damaged and black listed by bounces, spamming and poor process.  Revaluate Data Repair removes bounce emails from your database, improving your sender score – increasing your deliverability, improving your odds of winning a lead. More bounced emails leads to less listings.

Old Data

People move. It’s true. And in a normal year 10% of your database moves – and thus, 10% of your database is old and outdated.  This needs to be updated, refreshed and repaired. Old leads are similarly pretty useless if you think they live in Boston, but in the pandemic they moved to Bentendorf. Holding on to old data and not updating it wastes your marketing dollars and causes you to lose out on listings. More old contact info leads are not better.

Focus your efforts and you will become more efficient and less wasteful.  Refine your database with up to date information and you will do more with less.

More is Better*

*More is better only when you keep your database relevant, focused and up to date.  Many use a Full Record as the scale or method to grade your database on completeness.  More is better if your contacts all have up to date contact information.  More is better in this case because it will lead to more lead generation and more listings.  To do so, reach out to our team to Detox and Repair your database.

A Special Note for our English Majors:  I know I should have used “fewer” rather than “less” in many instances here, but grant me some artistic liberties please. 😉
