Refresh Your Real Estate Database with AI and Revaluate Data Repair

Should you Refresh Your Real Estate Database with AI?
There is an unspoken problem inside Real Estate and Mortgage that we need to reveal. So unspoken is the problem, it lacks even a name. I interviewed a handful of agents the past two weeks, and many more over the last year asking them to tell me about this common thread yet no one even agreed on the same terminology to define the problem.

You could be saying – well then “if theres not a term, it’s not even a problem”. Or  “how do we know it’s a common problem?” Or “What is the problem?” Let me refresh your memory.

The Problem
Bad leads, Junk leads, trash leads, broken leads, missing, old, garbage, dated leads. Bad data, dirty data, missing data, phone only, email only, buyer leads lacking addresses. All these terms were shared with me to describe the problem. Its hard to define, because everyone has a slightly different issue – but the problem is very costly and widespread.

Widespread Panic

We’ve been working with client databases for years. Initially we developed our data detox process as a way to clean your database. Revaluate automatically removes duplicate contacts, records with profanity as well as celebrity names and cartoons like Bart Simpson.  On average in the last 7 years,  we detox nearly16% of a database.
Ideally, real estate and mortgage professionals want full contact records. A full record includes full name, physical address, email and phone number.  Revaluate has found that for our clients, more than one third of contacts lack a full contact record. This problem is wide spread and permeates all levels of databases, from agents to teams to brokers to brands.

Scope, Scale and Size

More than ONE THIRD of your opportunities are getting missed, more than ONE THIRD of your marketing dollars are wasted, and ONE THIRD of your time is spent communicating with prospects with bad data. This begs the question – with good data, could you measurably increase your business?

The High Price of Apathy
Ignoring the problem does not make it go away. Ambivalence actually compounds the issue, as Revaluate recommends that you refresh your database annually. In an average year, 10% of your database will move.  Any new leads from zillow or realtor.com will lack the home owners address, leaving you with incomplete contact data.

Refresh and Repair

In data, the term that’s used to refresh or fix the issue is to “append the data ” but what it really means is to “fill in the blank” in your database.  To append is to repair your broken dataset. So we named our service Revaluate Data Repair.
