Dirty Data Done Dirt Cheap

You can now Detoxify your Database in One Click

We all have dirty secrets locked away in our databases. But complacency is costly – and impacting much more than just your ROI.

LO’s, Realtors, brokers and brands all have databases.  Our databases are built with many different types of contacts.  Leads, prospects, deals and SOI (sphere of influence) are all a part of our data set. Unfortunately – with all data, comes dirt and toxic data.

Most people are unaware, toiling day-to-day with inefficiencies and errors.  Complacency, however, has a huge cost. Every call, advertisement, and email costs time and money – it’s time preventing you from working with legitimate prospects.

Dirty Data is a real problem that will cost US Mortgage and Real Estate companies, leaving them thunderstruck. However, lost productivity will have an exponentially profound impact on marketing and sales efforts.

We’ve found some databases can have more than 25% Dirty Data – with the average detox removing 16% of a database.  That said – sales and marketing are wasting up to 25% of their time, money and resources on dirty data.

Quality Counts

Your highest odds of closing a sale come from your closest sphere (or those people you’ve worked with previously). That core group is your primary focus.  Growth of your database should be looked at as if it were a bullseye – the further from center, the lower the score. But you can make the target larger by growing your sphere and your database.

Size matters

When it comes to databases, the number of contacts you have is crucial to success.   Small databases yield small results. Bigger datasets increase your odds of finding likely movers that need your services.

What is a normal sized database?

  • Large companies have more than 1MM contacts
  • Established brands typically have databases well north of 50k contacts.
  • Teams and small companies have more than 10k contacts
  • Established agents and LO’s have between 2-6k contacts
  • First year rookies to the industry will have just over 1k contacts

Growth

Growing your database ranges from super simple to very intricate – but it’s a long way to the top. We will cover these details in another post; however, a good rule of thumb is when in doubt: grow.  If you are looking for outside-of-the-box TNT like explosive ways to grow your database, contact your Revaluate database expert here.

The Dirt on Dirty Data

Dirty Databases contain a wide range of toxins.  Typically, we see things such as duplicate entries, info@, Airbnb, cartoons and celebrities such as Bart@Simpson, data entry errors (lacking an @ or .com) and, unfortunately, tons of profanity that suggests what you ought to do with or where to place with your lead.  Additionally, we see lots of realtor and loan originator emails in the data sets we receive. While they are actual people – they are not prospects.
