Zillow + GPT: A New Era of Real Estate AI Search?

During the live demo, users could type prompts like “Show me homes for sale in Denver under $500,000” and instantly see listings with photos, prices, and key details — all without opening the Zillow website or mobile app. So I pushed it: “Show me homes that offer ski in ski out access that are mid century modern for my family.”
Very impressive result. You might say, it’s Epic.
It’s a small technical step but a big strategic one. Zillow’s didn’t just build a GPT app, it integrated into GPT5 directly in a power move that signals where real estate search is heading: conversational, context-driven, and powered by AI assistants. Instead of tapping an app icon, users will increasingly ask questions like “Find homes with big backyards near good schools.” For agents and brokers, it’s another reminder that listing data accuracy and descriptive language matter more than ever.
However, When I pushed the Real Estate AI harder. It totally did a yardsale like a Jerry. GPT was not able to deliver on my detailed image request – not even remotely. It failed hard.
Consumers are reaching for GPT’s more and more. It stands to reason that they will lean into this new app. However, there are examples of investments in new platforms not paying huge dividends – such as when many companies invested in alexa home search 10 years ago.
That said, I was looking forward to playing in the gpt app store myself, and built a Revaluate GPT to test out the waters around 2 months ago.

It’s Probably Pretty Kinky
I’ve not had much feedback on our GPT yet – so if you’d like to use it and share your thoughts that would be much appreciated. And Just like my test of ZillowGPT, there are no doubt kinks to be worked out. But, since its a free service we built inside their platform – no downside really. But as always, be cautious with the advice it gives and always proof read and think before implementing it’s advice. Don’t be like early google map / gps drivers that drove off closed bridges or down boat ramps and into lakes.
