250 Years of Real Estate, and a Rest

I wrote a post celebrating Americas 250th birthday that will be published over at Inman this week. It was long – like, longer than 250 years. In Part One (yes, there are multiple parts) I talked about how we assembled the map, from my nerdy real estate history perspective. Part Two is about who owns the land now – and who the largest land owners are.
Dani, my editor over there, “suggested” that I reduce it a tad so it would fit on the internet. So that task has been completed – but I plan to publish the OG one here, after they get the first publication. Just incase you cant get to sleep, know that reading this tale ought to do the trick.
Speaking of rest – I hope you enjoy your time off this Independence Day. That you connect with people, places or peace and quiet that you desire. Per SOP, Revaluate is closed in observation of the holiday this week – to let our team reset a bit. I’m with my family, up north in Michigan, where I plan to enjoy a cold beverage in this beautiful location despite the warm temperatures.
We will be back in action starting Monday July 6th.
Cheers.
