My Real Estate Database Presentation as Ryan Reynolds

I don’t know if Ryan Reynolds is big into real estate. He could be. He crushed Gin, Phone data plans, movies and football teams. Gotta invest that cash somewhere smart and I know he likes mid century modern vibes. But thats getting ahead a bit too much.

I was invited by Michael Maher to present in Atlanta for the Referral Mastery Summit. (RMS) The event was a blast – and a bit different than anything Ive done before in the industry – as … costumes were involved. The theme was centered around super powers, tools of the trade and sharing and not so much on saving the world.

This was the event that was disrupted by the hurricane in the fall – so we were all glad to have made it this time. My presentation was a low key breakout, that was pretty full with ample audience participation.

Ryan Reynolds

People frequently tell me I have a likeness to Ryan, and I take it as a compliment. Ive been photographed, and stoped by strangers from time to time. He’s got me by a few inches and a few hundred million dollars, but none the less, I decided to leverage the likeness a bit for this opportunity.

I never have filmed my presentations, but this time I was able to test out a simple method. I bought a new mic, and it worked great for my voice, but it (obviously) didn’t pic up the audience well. I edited out the participation and put their questions in as text. A bit odd / not too professional but I think it does the job.

Since i’m not a formally trained actor, I was not comfortable wearing the Deadpool suit. I enjoyed making “Datapool” business cards and slides and leaning into / leveraging the wit and sarcasm of Real Estate Ryan in this presentation.

Oh, and Ryan, if by some crazy odd circumstance you read this, hope you enjoy and learn a bit about real estate databases. If you don’t, I’ll cease and desist. Either way, I probably owe you a drink, eh?
